  1. Apply for a Vacation Rental Dwelling License:
    • How: with the DBPR, online or by mail
    • Requirements:
      • Florida Sales Tax Number (or exemption): From the Florida Department of Revenue, either online or by mail.
      • FEIN (Florida Employer Identification Number) for businesses and SSN (Social Security Number) or ITIN (Individual Tax Identification Number) for individuals.
      • Completed Certificate of Balcony Inspection (if listing is 3 or more stories in height)

  2. Apply for Certificate of Use:
    • How: With the City of Miami Beach, online
    • Requirements:
      • Floor plans in pdf or jpeg.
    • Fee: TBC

  3. Apply for Business Tax Receipt:
    • How: With the City of Miami Beach, online
    • Requirements:
      • Certificate of Use
      • Executed Lease or Recorded Warranty
    • Fee: $45 application fee + $57.50 fire inspection fee + $69 license fee.

  4. Apply for a Resort Tax Certification Number
    • How: With the City of Miami Beach, online or by mail
    • Requirements:
      • Business Tax Receipt
      • Florida Sales Tax Number
